PT_ Theic é um artista uruguaio radicado em Lisboa, Portugal, desde 2008 se dedica a trabalhar em diferentes áreas da arte como fotografia, pintura, design e escultura. Em 2010 juntamente com Florencia Durán iniciou o projeto Colectivo Licuado, que se dedica a fazer intervenções murais em espaços públicos e privados, desde 2013 este coletivo viaja pelo mundo para participar em festivais de arte urbana e residências artísticas em países como Espanha, Portugal , Itália, Estados Unidos, Brasil, Argentina, Índia, Alemanha, Croácia entre outros. O trabalho de estúdio de Theic é muito influenciado pela pintura clássica, mitologia grega e cinema contemporâneo, seu trabalho é figurativo e o ser humano é o protagonista dele, a técnica e a cor assumem muita relevância em sua pintura a fim de obter obras de caráter realista.

PT_ Na obra Lunch Break, Theic retrata um momento de pausa entre trabalhadores da pedreira, captando com realismo a dimensão humana do trabalho. Quatro figuras sentadas no chão, acompanhadas por um cão, partilham um momento de descanso num cenário marcado por ferramentas e canecas, elementos que reforçam a ligação ao quotidiano laboral.
Pintado diretamente sobre blocos de pedra natural, o mural funde-se com o suporte e o território, criando uma composição que homenageia o companheirismo, a resiliência e a beleza dos gestos simples. Ao transformar um espaço de extração num espaço de contemplação, a obra celebra a dignidade do trabalho e a poesia que emerge nos intervalos da rotina.

ENG_ Theic is an Uruguayan artist based in Lisbon, Portugal, since 2008 he is dedicated to work in different areas of art such as photography, painting, design and sculpture. In 2010 together with Florencia Durán he started the project Colectivo Licuado, which is dedicated to make mural interventions in public and private spaces, since 2013 this collective travels around the world to participate in urban art festivals and artistic residencies in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, United States, Brazil, Argentina, India, Germany, Croatia among others. Theic’s studio work is very influenced by classical painting, greek mythology and contemporary cinema, his work is figurative and the human being is the protagonist of it, the technique and color take much relevance in his painting in order to obtain works of realistic character.

ENG_ In the mural Lunch Break, Theic portrays a moment of rest among quarry workers, capturing the human dimension of labour with realism. Four figures sit on the ground, accompanied by a dog, sharing a break in a scene marked by tools and mugs — elements that reinforce their connection to daily working life.
Painted directly onto natural stone blocks, the mural merges with its surface and surroundings, creating a composition that pays tribute to companionship, resilience, and the beauty of simple gestures. By transforming a place of extraction into one of contemplation, the work celebrates the dignity of labour and the poetry that emerges in the pauses of routine.
