Hall of Fame II
PT_ O espaço onde se irá realizar o segundo hall of fame encontra-se inserido em pleno Parque Natural da Serra de Aire e Candeeiros, onde o graffiti e as proliferações artísticas urbanas eram inexistentes até à realização da primeira edição do festival Stone Art.
A envolvente mais próxima é vincada pela indústria extrativa de pedra, sendo o suporte para este projeto também ele blocos de pedra calcária. Esta zona é um dos maiores espólios de vestígios arqueológicos desde os períodos jurássicos ao paleolítico superior. Assim, e em forma de desafio temático desafiámos o line-up de writers a desenvolverem um mural de graffiti caligráfico com a temática principal envolvida na série de animação infantil “The Flinstones” trazendo para esta mostra,10 graffiti writers de estilos díspares.
A ideia de que o homem sempre comunicou através da mensagem na parede, é senso comum. O graffiti, tradicionalmente caligráfico, surgiu no final da década de 70 em Nova York, criando-se o furacão da arte nos últimos 50 anos à escala mundial, marcando presença também no Codaçal.
Atividade de graffiti decorreu nos dias 2 e 3 de setembro de 2023.
ENG_ The space where the second hall of fame will take place is located in the heart of the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park, where graffiti and urban artistic proliferation were non-existent until the first edition of the Stone Art festival took place.
The nearest surroundings are marked by the stone extraction industry, and the support for this project is also limestone blocks. This area is one of the largest collections of archaeological remains from the Jurassic to the Upper Paleolithic periods. Thus, and in the form of a thematic challenge, we challenged the line-up of writers to develop a calligraphic graffiti mural with the main theme involved in the children’s animation series “The Flinstones”, bringing to this exhibition, 10 graffiti writers of different styles.
The idea that man has always communicated through the message on the wall is common sense. Graffiti, traditionally calligraphic, emerged at the end of the 1970s in New York, creating the hurricane of art in the last 50 years on a world scale, also making its presence felt in Codaçal.
Graffiti activity happened on the 2nd and 3rd of September of 2025.
