Dentro do Horizonte by Time For The Oniric
PT_ Micaela Guedes, também conhecida como Time For The Oniric, é uma artista visual independente que vive em Lisboa. As suas obras carregam temas atuais e inquietantes através de uma abordagem psicadélica e surrealista. Time For The Oniric teve a oportunidade de se formar em instituições que solidificaram o seu percurso artístico, como as escolas AR.CO e Nextart, em Lisboa. Em 2019 terminou a licenciatura em Ciências da Arte e do Património na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, e, posteriormente concluiu o curso de ilustração digital na Lisboa School of Design. Para além de conduzir diversos workshops em 2021, leccionou aulas de artes visuais durante dois anos letivos na escola Conde Ferreira em Oeiras. Já em 2023 participou na mentoria de arte urbana dirigida pelo Queer Art Lab.
Conta com diversas exposições coletivas e individuais até à data, entre elas na Fortaleza de Santiago em Sesimbra (2015), em 2016 expôs “Raízes” na Biblioteca Municipal de Sesimbra, bem como em 2017 na Câmara Municipal de Lisboa. Em 2019 apresentou a exposição individual “Metamorfoses” na Galeria de Arte e Arquitetura Olga Santos no Porto. Em 2021 participou na exposição coletiva “Mescla” na Galeria-livraria Municipal Verney. Em dezembro de 2022 expôs o seu trabalho de ilustração, pintura e escultura no Centro Cultural Com Calma e Cultura em Lisboa dando-lhe o nome de “Reminiscências”. E recentemente em Fevereiro de 2023 expôs “Visceral” na Galeria In Bloom, em Lisboa.
PT_ A obra “Dentro do Horizonte” representa uma paisagem subterrânea que remete às grutas que se estendem por baixo das serras do Município de Porto de Mós. A imagem mostra, numa composição equilibrada entre estalactites e estalagmites, uma perspectiva surreal inspirada em diversas das principais atrações da zona, remetendo o espectador às grutas de Mira de Aire, de Alvados e de Santo António.
Em primeiro plano encontramos uma criatura antropomórfica, que se funde na natureza, misturando-se e admirando simultaneamente o cenário intimista no qual se insere, como se numa partilha em que a flora surge através da sua pele e se difunde pelo subsolo. O florescimento simboliza, assim, a vida, e o alcance da luz num lugar onde o sol não conseguiria, à partida, chegar.
Em torno da figura aparecem diversos minerais, representando uma analogia para a riqueza geológica do território e a centenária cultura da região caracterizada pela indústria extractiva de pedra.
ENG_ Micaela Guedes aka Time For The Oniric is an independent visual artist living in Lisbon.
Oniric´s illustrations carry disturbing themes of nowadays through a psychedelic and surrealistic approach. Time For The Oniric had the opportunity to attend institutions that solidified her artistic path, such as the AR.CO, NextArt schools in Lisbon. Later graduated in Art and Heritage Sciences at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and also completed the digital illustration course at Lisbon School of Design.
Oniric´s work has been shown at Fortaleza de Santiago in a solo show at Sesimbra in 2015; 2016 Individual Exhibition of Painting “Roots” at the Sesimbra Municipal Library; 2017 Solo Exhibition of Painting “Roots” in the Lisbon City Chamber; 2019 Solo Exhibition of Painting “Metamorphosis” at the Olga Santos Art and Architecture Gallery in Porto. 2021 Collective Exhibition “Mix” in the Verney Municipal Gallery Bookstore. Recently in December 2022 Individual Exhibition with illustration, painting and sculpting creations “Reminiscences” at Com Calma e Cultura in Lisbon. And in 2023 exhibited “Visceral” at In Bloom Gallery in Lisbon.
ENG_ The artwork “Within the Horizon” represents an underground landscape that evokes the caves stretching beneath the mountains of the Municipality of Porto de Mós. The image presents a balanced composition of stalactites and stalagmites, offering a surreal perspective inspired by several of the region’s main attractions, transporting the viewer to the caves of Mira de Aire, Alvados, and Santo António.
In the foreground, we find an anthropomorphic creature that merges with nature, both blending into and admiring the intimate setting it inhabits — as if engaged in a mutual exchange, with flora emerging from its skin and spreading through the underground. This blossoming thus symbolizes life, and the reach of light into a place where sunlight would not normally be able to penetrate.
Surrounding the figure are various minerals, forming an analogy to the geological richness of the territory and the region’s centuries-old culture, deeply marked by the stone extraction industry.
