PT_ Num território que cruza interesses ambientais, turísticos e industriais, torna-se ambicioso querer encontrar um equilíbrio que seja igualmente vantajoso, principalmente porque todos eles são inquestionavelmente decisivos para o crescimento sustentável da região.

Perante tal matéria de coturno, é com especial satisfação que assisto ao feliz cruzamento de interesses, que sendo antagónicos, encontraram forma de se tornar complementares. E é nisto que consiste a Stone Art.

Hoje, Porto de Mós mantém o crescimento da indústria de extração de pedra, tornando-a um ponto de interesse turístico, que cria arte e promove a criatividade num pano de fundo inusitado – as pedreiras -, premissa que abre caminho para os já vários exemplos de recuperação de antigas explorações, reconvertendo-as em espaços naturais e de lazer e, por conseguinte, de atração turística e de desenvolvimento económico.

Mais uma vez, a arte mostra que a elevação cultural é o caminho mais acertado, ainda que aparentemente menos óbvio.

Faced with such a matter of boots, it is with particular satisfaction that I watch the happy intersection of interests, which, although being antagonistic, found a way to become complementary. And this is what Stone Art consists of.

Today, Porto de Mós maintains the growth of the stone extraction industry, making it a point of tourist interest, which creates art and promotes creativity in an unusual background – the quarries -, a premise that paves the way for the already several examples recovery of old farms, converting them into natural and leisure spaces and, therefore, tourist attractions and economic development.

Once again, art shows that cultural elevation is the right path, even if apparently less obvious.
